UK-GBC Intern

We have a rarely available opportunity to join the UK-GBC team as a paid intern, for a minimum period of 4 weeks, starting as soon as possible.

The intern will help us with two essential tasks as we approach our 10th anniversary, carrying out research that will support our recruitment of new members, and providing administrative support as we transition from our existing website to a brand new one.

The role will suit an undergraduate or a recent post-graduate, who has a strong interest in sustainability and/or the built environment sector, and wants to build up their CV and contacts.

Digital Marketing Officer

The UK Green Building Council is looking for an enthusiastic digital marketing officer to join our vibrant team in central London. We’re looking for someone who loves digital media and can help us by developing intelligent strategies and workflows to make the most of our content online. The ideal candidate will have a pragmatic approach to challenges and be willing and able to take on day-to-day practical tasks to deliver a consistent high-quality output across our website and social media channels.

The successful applicant will join UK-GBC at an exciting time, with a new brand identity and website on the horizon. The position offers the opportunity to work in our wellbeing-focussed office in the heart of central London and join a team that takes pride in working towards a better built environment for everyone.

Required:
- Advanced understanding of Wordpress, Google Analytics, SEO tactics, Hootsuite
- Proven experience of delivering successful integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution
- Flexibility and adaptability, with experience in fast-paced environments
- Native or bilingual proficiency in both spoken and written English

Desirable:  
- Wordpress programming skills
- Built environment sector experience
- Interest in political/environmental agenda

Events Manager

The Events Manager is an important role within a strong and highly motivated team which reports to the Media, Marketing & Communications Senior Manager, works closely with different members of the UK-GBC team to deliver events which play a key role in delivering our mission.  This person will work closely with members of the senior management team and VIP guests/members so must be comfortable with managing events and people at this level.

Specifically, this entails leading on the scoping, management and delivery of the UK-GBC events programme in London and throughout the UK. The UK-GBC events programme has played a critical role in the marketing, communication and education activity of UK-GBC since its inception and is widely regarded in the sector as delivering some of the most professional, enjoyable and rewarding events of any organisation. This role puts you at the heart of the delivery of UK-GBC’s mission, allows you to bring your own ideas and improvements to our suite of events and gives you the opportunity to play an active role in making sustainable development second nature for built environment professionals.
