It is a consultation document which provides a basis for an intelligent discussion between industry, NGO’s and Government. Its aim is to achieve a step change in the sustainability of the construction industry and then to drive continuous improvement, the creation of long-term certainty so that industry can innovate and a framework to support the development of a committed, skilled and adaptable workforce to take forward the industry’s change agenda. The Government’s response to this consultation document will be published at the end of February 2008 and the final Strategy for Sustainable Construction will be published in late Spring 2008."
