Sunand Prasad is a Principal of Perkins&Will and co-founder of the highly regarded architects, Penoyre & Prasad which became a studio of Perkins& Will in 2019. The practice’s work ranges widely across many sectors and places, with a commitment to sustainability, research and high quality design as evidenced by multiple awards and publications.

Sunand was President of the Royal Institute of British Architects 2007-09 campaigning for action on climate change, reform of architectural education and better integration in design and construction. He is one of the London Mayor’s Design Advocates and Chairs the Editorial Board of the Journal of Architecture. He was a founding Commissioner of the Commission for Architecture & the Built Environment, member of the Government’s Green Construction Board, trustee of the Centre for Cities, advisor to the Government’s Building Better Building Beautiful Commission, and Chair of Article 25, the humanitarian architecture charity. He is the author of a number of books, articles and broadcasts on architecture, culture and sustainability.

Bill joined Legal & General in 2007 and is responsible for transforming its UK property fund management business into a global-reaching real assets platform.  Operating in both the direct investment and lending markets, today it actively invests and manages over £36bn AUM (as at 31 December 2020) providing capabilities in real estate, infrastructure and corporate debt. Bill previously held positions at RREEF, the Real Estate Fund Management business of Deutsche Bank and Schroder Property Investment Management.

Bill is currently Chair of the Property Industry Alliance (PIA), bringing together the UK’s leading property bodies to give them a stronger collective voice on issues such as policy, research and best practice. Bill is also Trustee of UKGBC and member of the government’s Urban Centre Town Centre Recovery. Bill was a Commissioner for the Lyons Review, is a Past Chairman of the Association of Real Estate Funds (AREF) and a Past President of the British Property Federation (BPF).

Victoria is responsible for Cortland’s strategic vision and growth in the UK and Europe. She brings a wealth of experience in the real estate and construction sectors, having held positions spanning investment, development, business operations, finance and capital markets transactions. Prior to joining Cortland, Victoria worked at Lendlease Europe in several roles including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and most recently as Managing Director – Investment Management.

Victoria holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts (Economics and History) from University of Queensland in Australia.

Victoria is Chair of the UKGBC Risk & Audit Committee

David joined Argent in 1990, he was appointed Joint Chief Executive in 2006 and Managing Partner of the new Argent LLP in 2012 and became Senior Partner in 2019. He is now Chairman of the Related Argent Partnership.

David is a Trustee of the UKGBC and Landaid and Chairman of the Governance Board of the UK Net Zero Carbon Building Standard. He is the immediate Past President of the British Property Federation and a Past President of the British Council for Offices, was one of the founding members and now ex-Chairman of both the Piccadilly Partnership in Manchester and the King’s Cross and St Pancras Business Partnership Ltd and is ex-Chairman of CityCo in Manchester.

David read architecture at Cambridge and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and has served on a number of RIBA practice committees. David was awarded the BCO President’s Award 2022, and in 2019 won the Estates Gazette’s Outstanding Contribution to Property Award’. In May 2015, David was awarded NW Insider Property Personality of the Year, and in April 2014, David jointly won the Property Week Personality of the Year Award with Roger Madelin

Jerome Frost is Chair of Arup’s UK, Middle East, India, and Africa (UKIMEA) region.  Leading a 6,500-strong team.  His focus is on sustainable development, shaping more inclusive, safe, and resilient communities, infrastructure, and cities.

Jerome, an internationally recognised expert in urban planning, major events, and economic development, has led and delivered major projects that set new standards for sustainable development.  As the former Head of Design and Regeneration for the Olympic Delivery Authority he played a leading role in the delivery of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games design strategy and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.  He has played a key role in other major regeneration schemes across the UK including King’s Cross, Wembley and Bristol Temple Meads, as well as large-scale urban, transport and reconstruction projects globally – in South Africa, South America, China and Asia.

He joined Arup in 1997 working for 6 years in urban planning, economic development and regeneration. After an eight year interval working for English Partnerships and the Olympic Delivery Authority, he re-joined Arup and has since occupied a number of leadership roles including the head of the 2,000 strong UKIMEA Consulting Sector and Arup’s Group Board member spearheading its global Cities Strategy.  In 2012, he was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in recognition of his services to urban regeneration.

Jerome currently serves on the board of the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), is Co-Chair of the Real Play Coalition and is a Council Member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Lorna is Cofounder, Chief Operating Officer and Head of ESG at Modomo.  Modomo is an innovative affordable housing specialist, tackling the housing crisis with thriving meanwhile communities on underused sites across Europe, using modular construction.

Lorna cares deeply about social justice, diversity and transforming the sustainability of our built environment.  She continues to work towards a more diverse industry and is the founder of Peer 20, a cross-industry organisation inspiring each other to use their skills to help make the world a better place. Lorna previously spent 12 years at CBRE in real estate finance and capital markets playing a critical role in many high profile investment and development transactions in both the UK and Europe.

A keen triathlete, Lorna’s favourite place in London is the Ladies Pond on Hampstead Heath!

Judith Everett joined The Crown Estate in 2013, and sits on the Group Leadership Team as Executive Director of Purpose, Sustainability and Stakeholder.

In this role, Judith is focused on driving forward The Crown Estate’s commitments on Net Zero and biodiversity, its role as a purposeful business, committed to creating lasting and shared prosperity for the nation, and its work to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Prior to joining The Crown Estate, Judith led on communication, sustainability and engagement activity across a range of countries and sectors, having worked with Shell, Scottish Enterprise, Columbia Threadneedle Investments and AstraZeneca.

A graduate of both Aberdeen and Edinburgh universities where she read International Relations and Business, Judith is Chair of the CBI’s London Council and Trustee of the UK Green Building Council.

Derek is Managing Director of Synergetic, which uses frameworks and data analytics to make property more sustainable – and profitable – at the same time.

A chartered surveyor and transport-oriented development specialist with degrees in land economics and sustainable urban development, Derek has been responsible for the creation of TfL’s Sustainable Development Framework and the zero carbon pathway it has enabled for a property development portfolio of more than 10,000 homes.

Outside TfL Derek serves as Chair of the Green Finance Institute’s Green Leases Working Group and advises the NLA as a member of their Net Zero Expert Panel. He also sits on ULI’s European Infrastructure and Regeneration Council.

Chris was appointed CEO of Bruntwood in 1999 and has overseen the growth of the business to one that owns over £1bn of commercial property across the city regions of Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Leeds.  Bruntwood was founded on a belief that its success comes from the success of its colleagues, customers and the communities in which it operates. This commitment to creating thriving cities has led to Chris playing an active role in many public and private sector partnerships including, Manchester’s Oxford Road Corridor, Manchester Climate Change Forum, the GM Local Enterprise Partnership and is a board member of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership.

Chris is the Chair of the Manchester Business Sounding Board and interim Chair of Innovation Greater Manchester, a partnership of business, science, academia and local government, established to provide a blueprint for translational innovation between Greater Manchester and Government.  He is also a trustee of the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC).

In 2018 Bruntwood established Bruntwood SciTech; a 50:50 joint venture with Legal & General dedicated to the growth of the UK science and technology sector.  With 10 sector-specialist campuses across 6 UK cities, Bruntwood SciTech provides specialist environments and innovation ecosystems to support businesses in the sector to form, scale and grow.  Bruntwood SciTech is a 25% shareholder in Sciontec Liverpool, JV partner to the University of Birmingham for the development of Birmingham Health Innovation Campus, and the University of Manchester to create ID Manchester – a new £1.5bn innovation district for the city.  Bruntwood SciTech also recently acquired Melbourn Science Park in Cambridge and is working closely with the University of Oxford and Legal & General as development manager for Begbroke Science Park as part of its ongoing national expansion.

Bruntwood is recognised nationally for its support of cultural and community initiatives, donating 10% of its annual profits to charitable causes and funding the activity of The Oglesby Charitable Trust.

Tara is Co-Founding Director of the practice and a Mayor’s Design Advocate. She is an RIBAJ Rising Star winner and co-founder of the Paradigm Network. She sits on the steering group of Architects Declare, a network addressing how architects respond to our climate emergency.

An Architect and Passivhaus designer, Tara’s expertise saw her lead the Harlow & Gilston Garden Town Sustainability Strategy. Her design expertise sees her sit on a few Design Review Panels including; RBKC and Lambeth Councils – advising councils on major planning applications, and she sits on the Public Practice Board as an Alumni Observer. She is a Director of the Quality of Life Foundation which improves how people think and feel about their homes & communities;

As a founding committee member of the Paradigm Network, she champions Black and Asian representation in the built environment. She contributes to R&D in industry networks such as LETI, focusing on setting guidance for a zero-carbon future.

Estelle joined BBOWT as Chief Executive in January 2014 after 16 years working in executive roles with other Wildlife Trusts. Working closely with the Board of Trustees and Directors, Estelle is responsible for the strategic leadership and direction of the Trust to deliver a wilder Berks, Bucks & Oxon that both restores nature at a significant scale and reconnects people to nature. Estelle believes that a healthy wildlife-rich natural world is valuable in its own right and is also the foundation of our wellbeing and prosperity; we depend on it and it depends on us.

She has been an authoritative advocate of 20 years for wildlife and the natural environment including through the land-use planning system. She is an accomplished public speaker and effective networker.

As Head of Building Surveying, James is responsible for construction and maintenance projects across Capco’s Covent Garden Estate. A key part of his role is to implement Capco’s Sustainable Development Framework and Net Zero Pathway through refurbishment and redevelopment projects. James is critical to delivery of Capco’s ambitions, alongside collaboration with stakeholders, suppliers, occupiers and neighbours.

In his day to day role, James deals with the whole supply chain of consultants, contractors and internal commercial teams on the delivery of lettable space in line with both approved capital budgets, external market requirements and the company’s sustainability strategy and Net Zero Carbon commitment. Since joining Capco in 2016 he has introduced the monitoring of sustainable measures during construction and sustainability targets for smaller construction projects.

Mark Robinson has enjoyed over 30 years in the public sector, starting his career as a YTS apprentice, spending 16 years in Local Government.

He progressed into roles including construction operations, strategic planning and corporate procurement, before moving into the housing sector where he set up an ALMO and became a Chief Executive aged 32.

In 2009, Mark was appointed CEO of SCAPE. Mark’s leadership has taken SCAPE from a small design and procurement company, to a nationally recognised and market leading organisation for the public sector.

Today, SCAPE has over 1,600 live projects and commissions, valued at £6.5bn, and its frameworks are currently the most widely used across the UK.

Mark champions smarter procurement and best practice in efficient construction. He works closely with some of the biggest construction companies in the UK and leading industry bodies to help improve the built environment across the public estate.
