As a membership network, we are the unified voice of our industry’s current and future leaders who are striving to realise meaningful transformation in response to the planetary emergency.

Who should join

Any organisation that believes in a better built environment and collective action to address our climate crisis should join UKGBC.

As a multi-disciplinary network of committed organisations spanning the private, public and voluntary sectors, we welcome all types of organisation to join in our mission.

We believe in openness and collaboration. We expect a commitment from our members to continuously improve their environmental and social performance.  For our business members, we require at a minimum some form of Board approved corporate-wide commitment to climate action – ideally aligned with the UNFCCC-backed #RaceToZero Campaign. For our Gold Leaf members we will require them to join the #RaceToZero Campaign.

    UKGBC welcomes organisations of all shapes and sizes within its membership – from sole practitioners to multinational corporations and everything in between. To maximise inclusivity, our membership fees for businesses are banded by turnover or asset value.

    The ‘asset value’ fee bands apply to those organisations whose primary income comes from property investment (ie those that own income-producing real estate assets) and the ‘annual turnover’ fee bands apply to all other businesses.
