As part of our Advancing Net Zero programme, UKGBC is running a project to improve guidance on Scope 3 reporting for the commercial real estate sector. We would like to invite professionals and organisations in the built environment to participate in this workshop on Tuesday 26th March at The Building Centre, 26 Store Street, London WC1E 7BT.

Commercial real estate owners, managers and investors have an increasing interest in voluntary reporting of annual Scope 3 emissions. However, there is currently a lack of clear, sector-relevant guidance on Scope 3 reporting, which often results in poor screening exercises, incorrect assessments and significant under-reporting.

This project is intended to provide the industry with guidance to help improve the awareness, knowledge, and reporting of Scope 3 emissions.

In February 2019, UKGBC convened a group of industry stakeholders to outline the main challenges needing to be overcome. This workshop will be used to gain wider input on these industry challenges and develop consensus around the guidance required in response. Participants will be encouraged to share their own perspectives and offer potential solutions.

The outcomes from the workshop will then be used to refine the guidance, which is intended to be launched in June.
