A year on from COP26 in Glasgow, and with COP27 about to focus minds on the progress that the UK has made over the past year, we’re inviting our network to an event focused on the opportunities for Scotland to source its own solutions to elements of our climate challenge.

As a key technology in the transition to low carbon heat, heat pumps present a wealth of opportunities for local supply chains. To bring these opportunities to life, UKGBC is hosting a learning and networking session at the Mitsubishi Electric factory in Livingston, open to members and wider contacts in the industry.

The session will provide an overview of UKGBC Scotland’s current priorities, followed by a tour of the Mitsubishi Electric factory, as a tangible example of Scottish manufacturing rising to the supply chain challenge. You will then have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions on heat pumps, the decarbonisation of heat, and how Scotland can best respond to our climate challenge by scaling up local supply chains and skills bases.
