Digital, technology and material innovation promises new value creation opportunities for customers, communities, construction companies, and their supply chains. The imperative to innovate has never been greater due to increasing customer requirements, competitive pressure, and regulation. However, while innovative solutions are available, clients and contractors find it challenging to procure these effectively due to ‘business as usual’ processes and mindsets.

UKGBC and LWARB’s Circular London programme have teamed up with Qflow to unpick these barriers to open innovation in construction.

We are looking for company managers experienced in buying and adopting innovation within construction operations to participate in a roundtable discussion on best practices and new approaches to address these challenges.

By participating in the roundtable you will:

  • Hear how others in your market do it, learning from their experience and get best practice tips.
  • Meet start-ups that are looking to partner with corporates to bring positive change to the industry and support you in achieving your goals.
  • Contribute and gain access to a wider study by the UKGBC on innovation in the Built Environment.

The facilitated roundtable discussions will cover four procurement challenges:

  • Software as a Service (Saas)
  • New materials
  • Software-enabled hardware / IoT solutions
  • New business models e.g market places

We are specifically looking for construction and property professionals experienced in buying and adopting innovation (i.e. procurement) to participate in this roundtable discussion. Please note that spaces are strictly limited.
