Please note:

Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the NHS Net Zero workshop is being postponed.

The NHS are committed to running this workshop at a later date once health issues permit. This may be via online delivery so that it can take place sooner.

Please note, this is an invite-only event.

The Health Infrastructure Plan (HIP) will deliver a long-term, rolling five-year programme of investment in health infrastructure, including a new hospital building programme. NHS England and NHS Improvement are driving for all projects under the programme to be delivered to achieve net zero carbon using UKGBC’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Framework. UKGBC has agreed to work with NHS England and NHS Improvement to refine the requirements and the practical approach to using the framework on these projects.

On Thursday 19th March, we will be hosting a workshop with NHS England and NHS Improvement to explore the practical steps needed to deliver net zero carbon new hospitals. This will include discussion on the specific requirements for healthcare buildings to supplement the existing net zero framework, and the approaches needed for assessing and verifying net zero carbon for the projects.

If you would like to be added to the interest list for this workshop or would like to learn more about how UKGBC can support your organisation’s delivery of net zero buildings, please email ANZ@ukgbc.org

UKGBC takes the health and wellbeing of its staff and event attendees extremely seriously. With the threat from Coronavirus declared a public health emergency, UKGBC is continuing to monitor the situation and ensure we follow advice issued by Public Health England. Our events are currently continuing to run as scheduled, but we are keeping this under review and will update this page with further information should this situation change. Any individuals due to attend our events who are displaying symptoms or have recently returned from any of the affected areas (listed here), are requested not to attend and should follow official advice
