Gold Leaf members

Gold Leaf members are organisations aspiring to be sustainability leaders. They typically have ambitious environmental aspirations, and a strong societal purpose. They wish to join UKGBC to enable them to accelerate their adoption of sustainable business practices, and to learn from and challenge one another to be more bold and ambitious.

Our Gold Leaf members have a combined turnover of over £150bn and employ approximately 50,000 staff. It is our ambition to enable them to demonstrate their commercial success through the leading sustainability practices they adopt. We work very closely with our Gold Leaf members in realising our vision, and they remain our first port of call – whether we’re seeking feedback on a new idea; have limited spaces for a few members only; or have high profile sponsorship opportunities.

Express your sustainability leadership by becoming a Gold Leaf member

In addition to the wide-ranging benefits available to all UKGBC members, our Gold Leaf members are also entitled to the following enhanced benefits.

Personalised support:

  • Enjoy personalised support from a Key Account Manager in the UKGBC team. This person will check in with you regularly to understand your ambitions, and to make sure you are making the most of opportunities to engage with our work.
  • Draw down on the extensive knowledge and networks of senior UKGBC staff, and take up the offer from our CEO to speak at one of your events or Board meetings

Bespoke feedback:

  • Learn about your sustainability strengths and weaknesses through an annual Sustainability 360 Review conducted by UKGBC. This exercise has the dual purpose of maximising shared learning within the Gold Leaf community, and using the best practices of some to challenge the ambition of others. • Ask a member of the UKGBC team for feedback on their sustainability strategy or report at timely intervals.

Extensive complimentary learning:

  • 100 complimentary places per year on UKGBC’s Sustainability Essentials e-learning course
  • 5 free places on UKGBC’s Level 2 or 3 Learning and Development courses
  • Connect your Learning & Development function with our own to identify the best sustainability training programme to suit your organisation

Whilst the impact of the built environment on the planets health has long been well understood, the work M&S has done with the UKGBC on the impact buildings have on occupant health, wellbeing and productivity has been game changing.
