The UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) has today opened applications for Future Leaders 2019.

Now in its sixth year, the prestigious Future Leaders programme takes a select group of 24 high-potential built environment professionals through a unique programme of leadership and innovation.

Participants develop skills in personal leadership, collaborative thinking, business model development, innovation and storytelling.

The programme kicks off with a two-day residential in January, followed by a two-day workshop on business model development and storytelling, and will culminate in a session of leadership reflection with industry leaders.

Future Leaders provides a forum for tomorrow’s leaders to grapple with the most critical issues that the sector will face in the future, and challenges participants to work collaboratively to address these. Graduates from the programme are able to join the exclusive Future Leaders Network, which brings opportunities for continued professional development and access to a growing number of thought-leaders right across the built environment value chain.

Individuals from any discipline within the construction and property industry are encouraged to apply. Applicants are expected to have between 5 and 15 years’ experience in the industry, as well as a drive to challenge thinking and have a positive impact on the future of our built environment. The deadline for applications is Friday 21 September 2018.

Cat Hirst, Director of Learning and Innovation at UKGBC said:

“In a rapidly changing world, our industry needs tomorrow’s leaders today. Our Future Leaders programme takes a select group of high-potential individuals and puts them on a transformational journey of leadership and innovation.

If you think you have what it takes to shift systems, think in new ways and challenge business as usual, don’t wait, apply now for Future Leaders 2019!”
